Text

Tuesday April 25 1922

Well, dear people, it’s all fixed up now. You will see me, fat and bleary-eyed, rolling in, Saturday morning, Liverpool Street * a.m. and we’ll spend a joyful day. I hope the office won’t want me at once. Day, we hear, is leaving for Berlin early next week, so I shall be able to have a talk with him before he pulls out.

So if you can arrange for the motor to meet me, I’ll be glad. I hope you will all be able to come to the station, but don’t, unless it’s convenient.

Weather here cold and showery. All further news when we meet. There are still a lot of black currant jujubes left!
With all my love,
Jack

*I cannot find out at the moment what time. They talk about 10 o’clock & 1030 but perhaps you can make certain. Last time it was 930 English time and I think my informants today must have been talking of German time.
