My dear Senator:
When you wrote me that you were planning to be in Europe this summer, I had counted upon it as the opportunity to arrange for you to visit us at the bank here either on your way over or on your return. But as this plan was not possible, I am wondering whether you will be able to make us such a visit before Congress assembles in December and you become so busy.Nothing short of a visit at the bank conveys any idea of the magnitude of the work, the character of the organization, and the way in which we deal with the various problems that have to be handled here on so large a scale.
I do hope you can arrange to do it.
With kindest regards, believe me,
