#8868 The following radio message was received quote Commander in Chief United States Fleet:- The Jugo-Slav nation after centuries of oppression has proclaimed its liberty. The nation Jugo)Slav council constituted on October 28th a provisional government which took possession on October 31st of entire Austrian fleet as well as arsenal of Pola. The existing fleet is today in danger. The Italians today destroyed Viribus Unitas and transport Wien. In order to preserve fleet to Jugo-Slav nation we beg you to take it immediately under the protection your fleet or fleet disinterested power. Information has been requested by radio.
